MEET THE TEAM!

Kaitlin Taylor is happy to be working with the Vanguardian Theatre Collective as its Managing Director because she likes weird theatre.  When not working with VTC, she Production Manages, Directs, and Assistant Directs with various theatre companies in Chicago, including TimeLine Theatre, the Waltzing Mechanics, Genesis Theatricals, and Saint Sebastian Players.

Michelle Altman graduated from Drake University with a BFA in Theatre. Since then she has been performing, writing, directing, and producing in Chicago. She has worked in several capacities with International City Theatre, little fish, ShPIel, New Lincoln, Jewish Women's Theatre, New Millennium Theatre Company, The Home for Wayward Artists. She started The Vanguardian Theatre Collective with like-minded people who know the value of telling stories in new ways. Thank you to all who support this amazing arts community!

Josephine Longo is a theatre artist and performer who's worked in Toronto, Northern California, and the Chicagoland area. A Chicago native, she's thrilled to be working with The Vanguardians to help bring new and exciting theatre to the city's audiences (and vice versa!).

Mary is loving work with her fellow Vanguardians. She is currently enjoying her first term at Second City's conservatory and working for Fox! As a native chicagoan, she loves that there's a theatre company wokring towards fresh ideas and new productions.

Keyanna Khatiblou is thrilled to be involved with the Vanguardians Collective! She loved her time as a performer in the Vanguardians' Fishbowl. Other recent Chicago credits include Macbeth (Midsommer Flight), Black & Burn (The New Colony), and MacSith (EDGE Theatre). She has also written and performed sketch comedy at Corn Productions and Stockyards Theatre Project. Keyanna is currently a company member at Corn Productions and The New Colony's Associate Company.

Melinda Deamon has returned to the city she loves and is ready for more!  When previously in Chicago, she danced with Lauri Macklin and was a company member of Live Theater.  She worked with a few other theaters, some performance artists and did the artist model thing.  It was good.  And so, Melinda took the next logical step and made her way to Los Angeles to get married.  And, start a new life...one she never dreamed of...discovering her inner beach bum, disgruntled yogini and fish tacos.  She also taught mindfulness, movement/meditation, was an ACE certified personal trainer, fluid bodywork therapist and began the arduous process of recovering from perfectionism, all while running an immigration law firm.  Many lives were lived.  Much fun was had.  It is time for more!
